Tην Τρίτη, 30 Απριλίου, εκλεκτός καλεσμένος στην εκπομπή του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai με την Φαίη Κοζά ήταν ο παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένος 
Dr. Yitzchak Frank.  Ο γιατρός επικεντρώθηκε σε μία νευροψυχιατρική δυσλειτουργία, τον αυτισμό, μία πάθηση όπου το άτομο δυσκολεύεται με την 
επικοινωνία και παρουσιάζει επαναληπτική συμπεριφορά.  Σημαντικό είναι πως το γονίδιο Shank 3 συνδέεται με τον αυτισμό αφού η μετάλλαξη του γονιδίου 
επηρεάζει την κατάλληλη λειτουργία των νεύρων στον εγκέφαλο.  Κλείνοντας, ο Dr. Frank έδοσε συμβουλές στους γονείς για την σωστή διαχείριση ενός 
παιδιού με αυτισμό αλλά και για την σωστή φροντίδα των ίδιων των γονέων ώστε να είναι δυνατοί συναισθηματικά.

Ο Dr. Frank είναι Νευρολόγος Παίδων και Κλινικός Καθηγητής Ψυχιατρικής, Παιδιατρικής, και Νευρολογίας στην Ιατρική Σχολή Άϊκαν του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai.

On Tuesday, April 30, Dr. Yitzchak Frank was the distinguished guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by Fay Kozas.
Dr. Frank spoke about autism, a neuropsychiatric disorder, where the person affected has problems in social interaction and communication, and exhibits repetitive behaviors.  
Of great significance is the connection between autism and the Shank 3 gene.  The alteration of the Shank 3 gene interferes with appropriate nerve cell function in the brain.
In closing, Dr. Frank gave the parents of autistic children advice on coping, but above all, the doctor reminded the parents about the importance of also taking care of themselves 
so that they may be emotionally strong to care for their children.

Dr. Frank is a Pediatric Neurologist and a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry, Pediatrics, and Neurology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
