The risk factors for cancer of the liver include cirrhosis, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C, while the risk factors for cancer of the pancreas include genetic mutations, the Hepatitis B virus, and chronic pancreatitis. In the course of the medical show, Dr. Golas informed the audience about the major advances and innovations in treatments. Dr. Golas is Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
