The first highly distinguished guest was Dr. Saad Chaudhary who spoke on lower back pain as well as on various spinal conditions, such as degenerative disc disease and spinal stenosis.
The doctor discussed the causes and risk factors and informed the audience about the advancements and innovations regarding treatments.
Dr. Chaudhary is Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and has received specialty training in minimally invasive surgery and complex surgery of the spine.

On Tuesday, October 18, Dr. Mike Yao was the distinguished guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show.
The doctor began by discussing thyroid cancer, a medical condition that affects women three times more than it does men. Dr. Yao covered the causes
and symptoms and informed the audience all about the medical and surgical treatments available.
Dr. Yao then focused on cancer of the larynx, a cancer that can be devastating not only physically but emotionally as well. The major risk factors include
toxic substances and certain behaviors, especially in countries where the population tends to chew tobacco leaves as a habit.
Dr. Yao also stressed the importance of an early diagnosis, as treatment depends on the staging of the disease.
Dr. Yao is Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
The doctor is affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan and as of January, 2017 he will also be practicing out of Mount Sinai Queens.
